Across the great blue sea are two young boys that have captured not only my heart, but the hearts of many other Christians. I have received hundreds of emails from precious prayer warriors who like me are captured by this miracle from God. I promise you I have read every one of the messages and have prayed for your families, smiled at the pictures, and cried tears of joy as I read your stories. My sweet friends....we serve a magnificent God. He controlled the storm and He has brought joy to my sons' lives and I thank him for His unconditional love.
Yesterday was filled with many emails, phone calls and paperwork. I pray that we will hear something soon about travel. I received a great photo yesterday and will share it in this post. As I begin this day, I am thankful for the many blessings and excited to see what new friends God will send my way. "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me" Psalm 139. God knew what the plan was for David, Peter and our family and He was the only one to have the power to make such a miracle happen.
Please pray for our family as we tie up paperwork and financial needs and WAIT! His promises remind me of His goodness. Oh yes.....I forgot the best part......we will speak to Davids on the phone this Friday!
GOD IS SO GOOD......ON THE MOUNTAIN AND IN THE VALLEY!
Davids building a model....his favorite thing to do!
How very exciting! We too are trusting God with the adoption of daughters from Eastern Europe. Waiting, waiting, waiting. The hardest part. Love Davids' sweet face! How happy he must be right now...
ReplyDeleteThank you for stepping out in faith so quickly for Davids. Our family has been in prayer for all of you.
ReplyDeleteWe pray that your wait to travel to Peter & Davids won't be long.
We know 1st hand how hard it is to keep your faith strong when so much is uncertain but believing in our God will bring you to and thru your journey.
Thank you also for your blog, so many of us love following along with you.
May God bless your family abundantly.
I have chills!!! Stories like yours sooooo increase my faith during my waiting...we are beginning the process of adopt from Ethiopia, only 6 months after bringing our daughter home from Bulgaria! We would appreciate your prayers as we follow the Lord again, half way around the world!!!
ReplyDeleteYour story is so touching. And just another reason why this blogging community is such a blessing. It is like our hearts are all tied together by adoption. I am happy beyond words that your family has found Davids and what a precious child he is. I hope things go smoothly for him and you and a bond grows fast and strong. God Bless you.
ReplyDeletelove this!! praying for your whole family!!
ReplyDeleteSo completely happy for your family! What a treasure to be able to hear his voice this friday!!!
ReplyDeleteGet him an erector set. My kids adore them! What a gorgeous picture.
ReplyDeletePraise God! I am so blessed by your story. Thank you for showing us a picture of God's faithfulness when one of His children walk out in faith!
ReplyDeletePraying that you will have a travel date soon to bring your two boys home! Will Peter and Davids come home to your family at the same time? Love the beautiful picture you posted of Davids. Janet
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you what a thrill I get every time I see his smile! I was writing in my journal this morning and saw my prayer to the Lord on Davids' behalf from last week and smiled from ear to ear as I wrote the PRAISE for God's answer. I can hardly wait to see pics of him at HOME!!
ReplyDeleteI sang praises of joy to the Lord when I heard that a family had stepped forward to adopt Davids. I was blog hopping one night and I came across a blog that told his story. Immediately I fell to my knees and begged the Lord to provide for this young man. I have suffered personal devastation in the seemingly unavoidable dissolution of my 18+ yr marraige over the last 2 yrs and my heart aches to adopt but I am not in a position to adopt now - financially or emotionally. I find hope in the stories of folks who can and DO. I have told several friends about your obedience and step of faith to welcome Davids into his forever family. (I have a few that have adopted themselves). Please know that what you are doing not only blesses you, your family and Davids (& Peter) but it also bears witness to myself and others who sometimes struggle with unanswered prayers. I will continue to pray for provisions, safe travels and transitions.
ReplyDeleteLove this picture! He looks so content and secure. What a contrast to the angst he was feeling before you were his family.
