My Heart's Desire

Hello Friends!

Today has been a very busy day full of school and family responsibilities.  I have finally found a few moments of quiet time....alone with my precious Savior.  I have been in my prayer closet talking and sharing all that has been in my heart today.  My favorite time of every day is when I grab those few moments.  I  close my eyes and listen to the quiet and pray.  It is a sweet time....if you do not have a devotional time...please schedule some time with the Lord.  I promise....you will never be disappointed.  I will make some suggestions later of books, Bible verses and studies that I have enjoyed throughout the years.  I have to admit though....just the quiet of the evening alone with the Lord is the best!
Tonight as I was praying for all the the requests, I began to think about how God has awarded me the desire of my heart.  I have always wanted a large family. I knew that when we met Peter that our family was changed forever and that God had sent him to us.  I never dreamed that He would also add another precious child.  I cannot wait to see all of my boys playing, building, riding bikes and camping this spring!  I cannot wait to see those faces when they receive their own bicycles!  My heart is full of joy as I picture what is ahead for two boys....now brothers from the country of Latvia.  This weekend we will begin to arrange the rooms.....as we prepare our home to welcome our sons!
"Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah." Psalm 21:2

  3. Would it be possible for you to let us know how much more is needed for the finances of Davids' adoption? I would love to spread the word. Even if you want to be vague (hundreds? thousands?)

I've been following his story since the first day but haven't commented. I cried and prayed for 2 days when I heard his story and am absolutely OVERJOYED at what God has done!!!! There's so much I would like to say but will leave it at THANK YOU!

  7. I am so happy things are moving along. Do you know when you will get to travel to bring the boys home? Have the two boys met yet? Your children are all beautiful! It is one of my favorite things to watch my boys from Guatemala as they enjoy life here in the US and experience things they may never have had the chance too.

  8. Such a beautiful family for sure! Cannot wait to see pics of ALL of you TOGETHER! FOREVER! Your children are so lucky to have a precious momma who will teach them of the steadfast love of our Heavenly Father. BEST gift you could ever give your family! Glad you find time to refill your soul too ~ even if it is in a closet! :o)

  9. I was going to email you, but couldn't find that contact information....I am sooo excited for your family! Davids and I share a birthday. Happy birthday, Davids! I am so happy to know that he is able to celebrate today rather than having this be the dreadful day it almost was for him. (Before hearing the exciting news that Davids' family--your family--had been "found," I put Davids' name on my calendar, so that I would remember him today while celebrating my birthday. I was determined that he would be remembered today. And, boy, is he being remembered by many today! What a miracle-working God we have! Enjoy being in the midst of His miracle working!

  10. I have shed many tears thinking of those moments, too. Family is such an amazing blessing from God....and one that many people take for granted. Once you've entered the world of orphan care, however, it sheds such a different light on the blessing of family, though. Thank you for being Jesus' hands and feet!
